THE BODY AND BIRTH MANTRA
To empower woman worldwide to live without pain, fear, embarrassment, or worry about their pelvic health by providing access to quality treatment, information, and education. To help every woman live well, move better, and make informed decisions for their pregnancies and beyond. All Mamas are truly amazing and we believe that happy, healthy mamas allow for happy, healthy families, and a brighter future.
Here’s to changing the world, one pelvic floor at a time.
The Early Days
Body and Birth started as Prenatal classes taught in a physio space in Calgary, Canada, with a good friend and colleague, Julie Tschofen. We both had a great passion for women's health and working with pregnant women. This passion has evolved into a beautiful and fun local physiotherapy practice in Brisbane, Australia, and online programs for all women - especially Mamas-to-be and health practitioners on all things women's and pelvic floor health.
At Body and Birth, we want YOU to be empowered with the knowledge and tools to heal your own body!
Hi Ladies! Sami Cattach here, the woman and physio behind Body And Birth. Treating and educating women has been both my passion and my calling over the last few years and I've loved the opportunity to connect with so many amazing ladies. From my training as a Women's Health and Pregnancy Physiotherapist, as well as a Restorative Exercise Specialist under Nutritious Movement, I have developed my own whole-body approach that takes into account how you move, live, work, and play, and how that impacts the function of your body as a human being AND a Mama! I believe that a holistic approach to pelvic floor and pregnancy is essential for lifelong health!
I use this approach with my patients every day and this is the approach you can now access in all of the Body and Birth Online Programs.
The female body should be able to run and jump freely, move, squat, sneeze, laugh, birth and have sex without any pain, discomfort or fear. We should be able to conduct these very natural movements and activities without repercussions, without having to deal with the pain or embarrassment associated with pelvic floor dysfunction. My belief, and my mission, from working with hundreds of women, is that with training, education, and making positive habitual and lifestyle changes this is attainable even postpartum!
Here's to you and positive pelvic floor health and be sure to check out our programs!
